Mary Ann DeFelice
MaryAnn joined FPNS in 2016 as an educational consultant after retiring from the New Canaan Public Schools as Special Education Coordinator. She hold a Masters of Arts in Special Education and sixth year degree in Special Education and Administration.
Her favorite thing about teaching preschool children is that they are curious learners with high levels of motivation to learn through play. When not in the classroom, MaryAnn enjoys gardening, travel, reading, and hiking.
Kelly joined our staff in the fall of 2020. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and is currently a candidate for an M.Ed. from Manhattanville College. Before coming to FPNS, Kelly taught kindergarten at the New Canaan Country School and taught preschool at an international school in Tokyo.
Kelly lives in New Canaan with her husband and her mischievous Boston Terrier, Violet. She has three grown children who attended the New Canaan Public Schools. In her free time, Kelly loves to cook, run on trails, hike to waterfalls, play tennis with friends and, cross country ski in Waveny or Von Trapp Lodge in VT. Most of all Kelly loves working with children and, she enjoys nurturing their beautiful spirit, encouraging their eagerness to learn, and enjoying their enthusiasm and laughter.
