Jenny Coutts

Head Teacher

Jenny has a B.A. in early childhood education and a Masters degree in Reading.  Before coming to FPNS, she taught kindergarten and first grade at South School in New Canaan and later became a reading specialist. Her favorite part of teaching pre-K is to see the incredible growth both socially and academically in her students.

Jenny lives in New Canaan with her husband John, their four kids, and two dogs. In her spare time Jenny likes to spend time with her family, ski, and travel to their home in the Bahamas.

Lisa Isherwood

Assistant Teacher

Lisa taught Pre-K at the Mandell School in New York City and the Methodist Church in Darien before having her three kids and moving to New Canaan. She has been teaching at FPNS since 2012. She loves to make learning fun and to engage students’ natural curiosity. Having been there firsthand, she says she relates to parents and knows how difficult it is to trust someone else with your child. She wants to make sure parents feel reassured that there are other loving people who take on a different role in their childrens' lives.

Lisa has a B.S. in American Studies from Colby-Sawyer College. She and her husband Scott are nature-lovers, avid birdwatchers, and college football fans. They are empty-nesters, who live in New Canaan with three rescue dogs and a fish.

Allison Farrell

Assistant Teacher

Allison has a B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology from Southern Connecticut State University and M.A. in Elementary Education from Antioch University New England. Before coming to FPNS, Allison taught at Earthplace Preschool in Westport, Connecticut. She has also worked in a variety of other settings within the early childhood field with children ages two to eight years old. She delights in observing how children interact with the world around them, seeing their unique individualized creativity unfold, and, most of all, being a part of their learning process.

Allison lives in Norwalk, CT with her son.  In her free time she enjoys listening to live music, reading, being with her family, spending time outside whether it is in the woods, the mountains or at a beach.
